Mobile prequel to Little Nightmares

Very Little Nightmares is a cute but creepy puzzle adventure mobile video game that takes you further back into the hair-raising world of the hit horror game, Little Nightmares. Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Very Little Nightmares is the prequel to Little Nightmares and tells the story of a new character known only as The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat, who must escape a dangerous mansion filled with evil.

Get out

Little Nightmares is a short but popular puzzle-platformer horror adventure game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game lets you play as the little girl named Six, who wants to escape the Maw, a mysterious vessel that has imprisoned dozens of human children and is now serving vile creatures boarding it.

A DLC pack and a sequel were released shortly after its success, telling more of the backstories and mysteries found in the Little Nightmare universe. This time, mobile game Very Light Nightmares takes you to the past, before Six’s adventure began, and lets you control a nameless child in a raincoat.

Get out again

In Very Little Nightmares, The Girl in the Yellow Raincoat wakes up in an unknown mansion and accidentally angers the owner of the creepy house. Suddenly, she must find a way out of this vast maze known as The Nest by solving challenging puzzles to advance and survive the creepy denizens of the mansion.

Unlike the original game, Very Little Nightmares features a 3D isometric view showcasing gorgeous graphics. The mechanics for moving around and solving puzzles are similar enough to the original game and is optimized for mobile phones. The big difference, however, is that while Little Nightmares wasn’t shy about amping up the scare factor, Very Little Nightmares hardly had a lot of the tense scenes.

Short but sweet

If you’re a fan of Little Nightmares and would like to see more of its world, Very Little Nightmares is a recommended game to try. You shouldn’t be hopeful about getting more lore, though, because it’s a short title, too, and the limited scary sections seem lacking when compared to the heightened stakes of the first game. However, it’s still a great title to try out if you’ve become a fan of this creepy puzzle series.
